Some unusual applications for the duct tape :


1. To deter ants : simply circle the entire bottom perimeter of the container or plate with duct tape, making sure that the sticky surface faces out.

2. To remove pet hair off fabrics : wrap your wrist with duct tape upwards until it reaches the first joint of your ring finger. Again, wrap the tape in the manner which ensures that the sticky surface of the tape is facing out. Then dab repeatedly at the affected area until all the hair is remove.

3. Emergency hose repair (vacuum hoses): carefully wrapped around the affected area with duct tape as deliberately and tightly as possible. The objective is to recreate the vacuum by completely sealing the leak.

4. To remove splinters : cut a strip of duct tape and place it over the splinter. Gently press the tape down and then rib it off. The splinter should attach itself to the tape and neatly come off.

5. To improve grip : if you have ever experienced difficulty in gripping tools (hammer, screwdriver) then try to wrap layers of duct tape around the handle to promote greate level of grip and be sure to overlap each layer. The tape can also be applied to create level of thickness that is adaptable to one's grip size.
